hi,

i have a problem with disk space. after backup i run the reports generator program. right now, it takes a lot of my space coz it files up in the directory. since i printed it, i want to get rid of the files created by the prgram.

is there a parameters i should re-configure in my printer/spool/queue?

thanks.

Jason,

Thius question does not really make any sense.....when you print a file it copies it /var/spool/qdaemon and after printing it is removed.....it sounds like you just need to clear the created file out of the relevant directory...this cannot be done via you spool queue configuration...

Cheers

Jason,

I think you are talking about the temp files created by your application before spooling it to print. You can find out the specific directory where these files are created and may be manually delete them or if you know the exact name of the files, write down a script to clean them regularly or put them as cron job. I hope this will solve your problem.

thank you very much. yeah! i got it. i talk to the programmer, tld her to clear up temp files of dir she's using in her script file. or try "system_call" for that matter.
