Default print out is A4, is A5 (the half of A4) also possible.
Or can you even print an A4 in a folder format (3 times fold).

1- Printer needs to allow for it.
2- Select the correct page size on your printer settings within the application.

As for printing more than one "logical" page on a physical page of paper this again depends on your application or your printer.

You can print a trifold page using Word's built in template under the Publications tab called Brochure.

You may be able to print 2 A5 pages onto an A4 sheet if your printer driver supports this. My Canon printer has the option to print up to 16 pages per sheet.
