Hi - I have an old application that is generating a 0x23 = 035 decimal character that prints a pound £ sign. I can't change the app but I can change a definition file that sets PCL commands for things like char set, font, spacing etc.

I changed the symbol set from 1E to 19U to test, and now it prints a hash # symbol.

I would like to print a Euro symbol instead of the pound. Is there some PCL incantation that can map char 128 to 35 for me?

thanks!

Don't know of any standard symbol set which maps Euro sign (U+20AC) to 0x23 - it's usually mapped to 0x80.

With PCL5, you could perhaps define, download and invoke a user-defined symbol set.
