I am trying to figure out to setup a formula using Crystal Reports 10 that automatically prints 3 copies of the report for each record selected. Right now it prints one copy, but I need it to print three time. Any assistance is appreciated.

From the "File" menu select "Printer Setup." From "Printer Setup" select "Properties." Locate "Copies" and adjust as appropriate. Save the report.

Note that this works for my current setup (Crystal 10, Windows XP SP-1, Brother HL-5170DN), I have no idea if different printer drivers or Operating System implementations will affect this.

I checked beanbrain's suggestion on my own set-up, and it worked. You can set a Crystal report to print 2 or 3 copies, and this becomes the default for copies when a print is selected. (On my set-up, you always have a choice at print-time).

The change did not seem to affect other Crystal reports, which kept a default of 1.

PS. If you want three occurances of each record, rather than the whole report, you could get this by doing [Insert Section Below] on the detail, and then doing copy-and-paste with the detail fields. This probably isn't what cmp119 wants, but people also use these threads for later reference.

I am surprised at times just how much information Crystal manages to store with the report definition.
