I've installed two T7100's in a client's bathroom (his & hers, residential).

Cannot get the 7100's to get an outside line without dialing "9", even though "prime line" is set to "L001" or "Pool A".

Is there any way to "trick" these sets to get an outside line without Dial 9?

Thanks,

I don’t think so. The reason why is if the phone picked up dialtone by going off hook, you would not be able to get intercom access, and therefore could not make any intercom calls, retrieve parks, features, etc… But I rarely use 7100’s, so maybe someone else knows.

I believe you're correct, but perhaps someone knows a short-cut or "spoof" to get this done.

Thanks,

bkrike is correct... its because there is no intercom button on 7100. There is a way to do it but you'll never get intercom path.

Progrm as hotline external > Line Pool > Pause {F78) as the only digit. This will give you outside CO dial tone, but as i said this phone will not be able to call internally.

Will the phone still be able to receive & transfer calls?

Thanks all!

I knew if there was a way, this would be the place to find out. My local "certified" Nortel guy can't figure out how I come up with these solutions. Maybe I'll turn him on to the site.
