Hi guys,

I made a fresh install of NT 4.0 server on a ML370 (with a disk array consisting of 5 9.1 GB disks, 1 as spare, Raid 5). But I wanted the primary partition to be 8 GB and not the standard 4 GB... is there any way to do it (I do NOT have the SmartStart CD)... or is there any way to "extend" the 4GB to 8GB when NT is already installed??

By default NT will not let you setup a boot partition that is greater than 4GB. There is a parameter (something like OEMPreinstall) that you can use in one of the setup files that will allow for a greater partition size. Sorry it's been a long time since I have installed an NT server. Maybe someone can chime in with the correct param that I am talking about.

Thanks itsp1965. The parameter you're talking about is ExtenOEMPartition, but it is used only in unattended installations. I don't want to make an unattended installation... I was thinking of something like Partition Magic, but don't know which is the version that works on NT... does PM allows you to "extend" the primary partition? (when the OS is already installed)
