I suspect someone messed around with the boot files and moved them to the wrong partition because the bios is recognizing the slave drive as the primary and the primary is not getting detected. Initially I was getting a NTLDR is missing. The primary partition is running a Windows XP Home and I don't know what os is built on the slave drive.
I initially tried to copy over the NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM from the XP disc but I was getting an accesss denied error when i attempted from the recovery console. Then I had the [sarcasm]brilliant [/sarcasm] idea to try and copy over the two files from the slave drive. Now the message I get is Primary Master Drive Failure.
any help would be appreciated.
