Primary and Alternate LUN paths

I have an EMC CX300 and they have noted:

Make sure that the Volume Groups are created so that the controller path on which a LUN was created is the primary path for the LUN.

I can do a pvdisplay and see my Primary and Alternate Link on a device.

If I need to swap them, Is there a way of doing this without having to rebuild the VG, LV and Filesystems?

If you have both a pimary and alternate LUN, then if you remove the primary, and then re-add it, they will swap over.
