Now that Nortel is everywhere, what are you charging for equipment? I was charging $165 for a M7208 but found them online for $50. I don't want to steal from my customers but it doesn't make sense to give them away.

Hi Mountainbear,

I run an eBay business and I have had a bunch of older Nortel equipment. I sold all of my equipment as tested and refurbished which it was, so it looked like new. Honestly, I was essentially giving away the Nortel stuff. I have found where I am that a lot of the equipment such as the M7208 is now going obsolete. Some will disagree, but the stuff looks old and can be found for practically nothing in the 2nd hand market. If you look on eBay I am sure you can find auctions where you can get a whole lot of Nortel phones for <100. Don't get me wrong I still really like Nortel stuff, selling it online and I just think it is cool. Really I don't think it worth that much. Who wants an old Nortel phone when you can get an up to date VoIP phone for about the same cost? Chances are a company is going to want to buy it used for cheap because they know at some point it will all be replaced. I know as time goes on the market to sell this stuff is going to slowly die.

I love Nortel, but I'm just trying to be practical in what I feel. Hope this helped.

Retail I would say anywhere from $40 to $80 is reasonable with a 1 year warranty. If you buy them out of service buy the lot you can get them really cheap. But odds are a portion of those are not going to work and you need to test and refurb each one before you want to sell it to a customer. Some will have bad shells and some will not be repairable.
