Hi,

We are setting up some new PRI circuits with a PDCH and Bdch. I have the circuits up and all green lights from vendor to switch. When I enable the d-channels, I get this message....

PRI377 1 3

"Audit the D-Channel is in the wait state but no timer is running"
Severity: Critical

ANy suggestions????

how do the b channels look? In LD96 is the service messaging on?

in ld 60 all channels are in mbsy state.
in ld 96 service messaging is off right now. It was on at one time, but currently is off. How should it be??

off for now is good. The mbsy is the telco, call them and with them on the phone, both side should bounce the circuit, also verify the settings ie: NI2 or custom, B8ZS, ESF, FDL or AMI???

Thanks, their side is showing Maint. Busy.

We are signalling NI2 B8ZS ESF FDL

Have you tried looping the circuit back to the telco after their demarc to make sure all is working correctly from them? If they loop back their demarc remotely, they are not in fact testing all the equipment in their set up. Putting a hard loop in the circuit after the demarc will prove their side, then do the same to your equipment to see if you have hardware issues too.

Hard LoopBack looks good both ways.

With just the Primary dch hooked up, it seems to be happy. When I try to hook the back-up D-channel is when I get the message. The vendor is due to 'turn up' the circuits tomorrow, I was just trying to verify everything on my side to make certain I am programmed correctly. It seems that since it is in Maint. Busy at the C.O. , the 2nd one will not work until the Primary is out of the wait state.

I guess we will find out tomorrow... (knock on wood)

Thanks for the help,
