We are installing a new PRI on a legend 7.0. Every thing seems to work, but two of the line ported to the PRI are xxx-8381 and xxx-0591 (both of which are faxes) is there any way on change the 1st digit to a 2 or 3 (2381, 2591) so I can install these two number to a single line port for faxes and not have a problem with my dialplan.

Thanks

Not sure what your dialing plan is but I think you can either change fax exts to correct number or go into incoming routing plan and redirect to correct exts.

An extension can not begin with zero but you can trap for the incoming numbers and add or delet digits at will. You have only 16 incoming routes so if you have two that have not been used...its all butta.

I tried to change the 0 to a 1. what I did was change route 9 to 0 remove 1 digit and add 1 to make it 1591. It only rings to the operator as known did. The call never did ring the analog port.

Actually, with PRI, any number in can be massaged to any number out.

It sounds like you have not numbered an EXTENSION to match the number you are trying to send to the LEGEND/MAGIX.

So, that being said, renumber your fax to something, and point the PRI TABLE to send the DIALED NUMBER to that something.

IF not sure, repost.
