Hi All,

Just having a bit of trouble programming up some PRI trunks. In the Trunk Groups form when I add member, it give the error "Specified Trunk is not assigned"

I have filled in the trunk attributes form with a COS and COR for my PRI trunks.

My Digital Link descriptors show up with a B and A record for my ISDN node.
Currently have a entry in my Digital Links form - Module 1, port/unit/shelf/slot/link - 1/3/1/2/1, Type - Universal E1, resilient link - False.

MSDN-DPNSS-DASSII form:
number 6, universal E1, Incoming, Local Office, MSDN
number 7, universal T1, Incoming, Local Office, MSDN

Any direction on this one would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Justin

Hi sarond, yes, I am using Australian Trunks. I have a T1/E1 card in a CXi - currently running 8.0 SP1

Cheers

Have you assigned the trunks in the digital trunks form?
I assume these are the ones you are trying to add to the trunk group

Digital trunks form won't let me assign anything, it only has the option to change.

Trunk groups gives me the option to add trunks to the group but gives the error stated above.

I have done some digging and ran the DTSTAT command which has shown "Universal E1 not installed." I am going back to the hardware to check it but I believe it should be connected properly.

Any other advise is welcome.

Cheers.

RE: Digital trunks wont let me assign anything, it only has the option to change.

Do you see equipment numbers in that form that match the ones programmed for the Bay

e.g. PRI is assigned Bay 3

Digital trunk form would display [pre]

Cabinet Shelf Slot Circuit Card Type Trunk Number
3 1 2 1 Universal E1 {blank]
3 1 2 2 Universal E1 {blank}
3 1 2 3 Universal E1 {blank}
.
.
.
3 1 2 30 Universal E1 {blank}[/pre]

If so, you need to assign trunk numbers to each one of those equipment numbers
Change
QTY 30
Trunk 1 increment 1
Truck service - As set up on your system
DTS - Blank
Circuit Descriptor - As set up on your sysetm
Interconnect - 1
Tenant - 1
