Hello everyone,

First, I'm not a PBX person, I'm computer support, but due to down sizing, i'm now both.

Our customer was told from one of our sales person, before the sales person quit, that to use video conferencing on their existing system, all they have to do was break out some channels on their PRI circuit and used those as BRI circuit for their video conferencing.

Is this possible? The Telco hasn't been contacted by the customer, because the sales person told them that its not necessary, because the Video Conferencing hardware and BRI card in the PBX will do all of this for them.

If this is possible, where do I even begin? Some hints, starters or cheats on programming BRI for video conferencing would be greatly appreciated.

The customer has a 4 box options 11 running on 3.0 software.
The video conferencing unit is a vtel 9x series?

Thanks for all help you can provide
J

John,

The customer has a 4 box options 11 running on 3.0 software.

I do have a NTBK22 MISP and a NT6D70 SILC card and I have been reading the ISDN Basic Rate Interface Installation and Configuration document, but that isn't helping much.

The first box has 6 PRI TMDI card in it, 1-6, the next 3 are empty and also one that is label MM.

Thanks,
J
