PRI timeout

Random calls are dropping off, the user indicates their display show "Timeout", and the calls drop after 30sec up to 2 minutes. I've replaced the PRI and reloaded the IMAT DB. ISDN protocols / variants are checked ok. Has anyone see this before? What is the "Timeout" message referring to?

I cannot think of anything in the PRI programming or hardware that would result in a timeout display on the phone.

The only thing that I can think of is ARS digits to be expected are not being dialed completely.

this probably doesn't help but had this issue with a PRI interface going into a Cisco type (not Cisco) router.

the issue here was on the far side but not sure technically what it was. it was fixed by the SP of the far side equipment.
