PRI switch type

I am installing a PRI on a Legend R4. It does not give an option for switch type under the PRI menu. Is this correct? does it just default to a 5ESS switch?
 
All the programming on my end looks good, but the provider says the D channel is down. I asked them if the switch type was set to 5ESS and the protocol to ATT custom.
 
now they say the D channel is up and the trunks are in service, but I can't dial out. I can't even make the yellow light on the T-1 card come on.
 
update: It was as I suspected, they had the protocol set to national instead of custom. So all these posts are just FYI!
 
I've been fighting one like that in Atlanta for 2 days.

Pipe is clean, Good D Channel, but it don't work.

T1 Provider says "We always prove it back to the LEGEND!"

Yeah, Right !
