I have a customer who wants to tie a MICS to a BCM. Best I recall I only need to get the MCDN Keycode. I think I recall that PRI is standard. I went to school back when 3.0 just got released so I just want to check. That could be a costly assumption. Thank you.

Yes, PRI comes with BCM. No keycode required.

It would appear that MCDN protocol is standard with the BCM, but I am not sure if this applies only to VOIP trunks or to PRI trunks as well on the BCM. You just might need an MCDN keycode for the BCM as well. Can anyone confirm this?

I was told from our vendor that you definetely need mcdn keycode.

you need a keycode for MCDN. It is not standard on anything you have to pay for the service. How are you planning on networking the BCM.

if your networking to the MICS you need MCDN keycode for the Norstar. The BCM will be fine. With 3.5 and up on the BCM the SL1 protocol is there.

OK, Thank you all. That did confirm that on what I learned 3.0 PRI was their but not MCDN. jdavid99 says on 3.5 and up MCDN will be their for SL1 integration. Thank you so much. This unit is a 3.0 so I will need the MCDN Keycode for the BCM and PRI and MCDN for my MICS. Thank again.

I am going to Network 3 BCM R3.6 using Voip trunks.
I have ordered the apporiate Voip Gateway trunk keycodes.

Do I need the MCDN Keycodes for all 3 sites?

(I am not going to have cent. vm)

TIA.

Viper222 you can upgrade from 3.0 to 3.6 for free, just call your vendor for the disks and free keycode.
