Legend V7, working fine for a long time, until after a new PRI circuit went in last week. Now, periodically, there is a squeal that goes across the entire system that affects all phones. It lasts for 10-20 sec then disappears. No PRI errors, no maintenance errors.
I would say it's the PRI right off the bat, but it supposedly happens by just picking up the phone and getting dialtone.
SO...... is there some type of "failable" circuitry or such, that can fail to cause this type of issue? PRI looks suspicious, but want to be sure.
Thanks for any input.

First off, I have never heard of this, EXXCEPT, when I attempted to access PAGING remotely.

IF that is not the case then:

I would do a TRACE on ALL EXTENSIONS and ALL PRI CHANNELS and have the client jot down just when this failure occurred.

Then, I would look at the output of the trace and see if there is something in common.

Of course, if this is a large switch, the file could be HUGE!

Thanks for the get back, MM. I assume you're getting thte trace via the monitor, I've been there before, but mainly for location and SMDR outputs, so.... what's the syntax for the tracing of the extensions? I can handle a large file, I hope.
