I have a customer that changed their PRI from a 5ESS switch with ATT protocol to...and I don't get this...a 4ESS with AT&T Megacom service...needless to say it ain't working so well. I don't know what MegaCom is but calls are coming in just fine, however there is no outbound. AT&T is telling me that the "SDN" is wrong coming from the Magix...I am pretty sure I can't change that even if I knew what it was. So the question anyone got any info on this type of service or if it will even work on the PRI picky Magix???

Thanks for all the help!!!

I have done SDN in other systems i have no idea how to or if it is even possible on the Merlin.

Well I have had the provider make some changes and it's all good now!

I believe SDN (Software Defined Network) uses an auth code in the dialling format. Customers use a DS1 facility to connect to the AT&T 4ESS tandem switch directly. With software options AT&T provides "TIE-like" service between customer locations, etc. over one path. This AT&T offering is from the late 1980s.

MEGACOM is one of (old) AT&T's tradenames for service that connects via a DS1 facility, primarily inbound toll-free and/or outbound long distance.

Hope this helps!
