PRI Rejecting calls

I have a cust with a MICS with 4.1 software. just put in a PRI on trunks 1-23. incoming calls are ok when dialed directly, that is if I pick up a telephone and dial the number then the call goes thru. When the calls are forwarded from a external line (a line on a centrex group is forwarded to a DID on the PRI) then the caller gets a fast busy. the Telco says that they are delivering the digits but the MICS is rejecting the call since it is a re-directed call.

I cannot find anything in the documentation about redirected network calls on PRI so am looking for any suggestions.

Are you saying you can directly call the DID number from that Centrex line?

Yep, when I posted the telco was adamant that the MICS was rejecting the calls but have since recanted and it appears to be something wierd with the centrex hunt group. it is (now) a three line group (down from eight lines) when all the numbers are busy the calls to any number on the group give a busy.

when any of the lines are not connected to a call then a call to numbers on the group that are busy will hunt out to the did number. by that if the first line is free and I dial the number of the last line when the last line is busy then the call forwards to the did number.

so it looks like the telco is starting to figure out what is going on since it wasen't doing this either earlier

OK guess I didn't need to post here to start with but the telco was so sure that we were rejecting calls from the PRI.

end result is that the centrex group that was programmed to forward to the DID on the PRI had been programmed so that none of the centrex lines on the account were allowed to be forwarded to a PBX TRUNK! this was a programming error done years ago.

the fix method to find this was to have the Telco pur a SS7 trap on the CO Centrex number to keep an eye on what was happening to the call every step of the way.

Hey at least they checked it out and didn't just keep saying that it was your equipment.

they had to, my tech support for the phone system is the same telco. gotta love it

Anymore, they turn the customers existing line into DID's...try building a target line with receive # as the last 4 digits of the centrex line and prime it to the extension it belongs to
