I am having a problem with my BCM 400 and a PRI provisioned with Verizon. Intermittently the BCM's trunk card will reset. Nortel tells me it is because of bad layer 2 data. Nortal and Verizon agree that the line itself never loses the signal, but both point the finger at each other for the problem.
When I attach an external CSU / DSU it helps mask the problem, but I still occassionally lose calls. The external CSU / DSU is recording errors but I do not have the expertise to properly interpret them.
Are there independent telco engineers / consultants in the PA, NY, NJ area that I can pay to attach a protocol analyzer and give me a definitive explanation of my problem?
