My PRI DID range is 3692800-3692999 & my first line which is the console is 2800.If I dial out to someone it diasplays to them 3158613 which is the pilot number. If you then dial 3158613 it does not go through but 3692800 does. How do I make the pilot number to ring on 2800 & also how do I make the phones display their DID numbers when dialling out?I have turned most display items on the System Options to YES & has also put in the DID range under E1.

cpn substituiton form to display cli

system speedcall to route incoming ddi's - speedcall enter ddi number of digits presented by carrier, actual number is your extneison eg 2800.

pretty basic stuff this are you trained????

You got me the other way round.Im not concerned with incoming calls. What you said above I alredy know that.I want that if someone dials the pilot number instead of the DID number from somewhere that it rings 2800.Read my first post carefully.

Pea123, you should take your own advice.

James1982 was correct for the 1st questionyou asked:
"How do I make the pilot number to ring on 2800" - create a system speed dial 8613 and point it to 2800.

For the second part about how to get the numbers to display for outbound, Has nothing to do with COS.
It's done through DID Number Substitution in the config of your E1. As long as your carrier allow it, this should work.

My apologies to you all, please have mercy on me & patiently explain to me.
How does putting a systems speed dial 8613 pointing to 2800 make inward bound calls meant for 3158613 ring on 2800?

I have a system speed dial 9 that points to 2800 so that from any line on the same ICP if I dial 9 it rings 2800.
That does not mean that if Im off premises dialing 9 on my cellphone will get me to 2800.

run a ccs trace - from maintainence command ccs trace enable continous, call the 3158613 number and check how many digits are presented by your line provider / carrier.
Alternatively call your line provider or carrier.
here in the uk its generally the last 4 or 6 digits of the ddi / pilot number

Once you have this info in system speedcall assignment enter the last 4 or 6 digits(or whatever results you found from the ccs trace or the carrier) in the speed call field then in the actual number enter your console 2800.

This will route the 3158613 number to your console 2800.

Regarding outgoing cli on the 3300 help look up cpn substitution - this will explain how to configure outgoing cli presentation.

Good Luck!!!!!

When an inbound call is presented to your system on PRI it delivers digits exactly as if dialed from a phone. If the digits delivered are 8613, then the system needs a terminating DN that matches 8613. Typically the inbound digits and the terminating DN match. When they don't match (as in your case TN=2800) then the digits need to be translated. The answers above assume that you are working on a Mitel 3300 system. The easiest method for translating inbound digits on a 3300 is by creating a speedcall 8613 that dials 2800. In this way, when the PRI delivers 8613, the system converts it to 2800 and rings the appropriate device.

If you have a sx-200, you can ignore the speedcall solution as it does not apply.

For future reference, it is very important to provide System type and Software levels to get accurate answers.

Using a 3300.Done what you all advised.Resolved the issue by telling the service provider to hide the carrier from displaying to called numbers.
