I have recently installed PRI on an Mxe which has been using Analog Trunks just to increase trunks. The problem I am facing is that this PRI is only call Cellphones >If I dial any other number other than a cellphone number the station displays CALL BARRED.

All cellphone numbers start with a 7 & Local landlines start with 3.

On ARS digits dialed 07 & 03 have the same Route & similar CoR which means that if I can dial 7xxxxxxx then I should also be able to dial 3xxxxxx {right?} but thats were I get CALL BARRED.

Please note that:-
(1)when dialing through Analog Trunks 3xxxxxx goes through & 7xxxxxxx also goes through
(2)when I replace the Mxe with an ISDN tester I can dial 3xxxxxx & it goes through.
What could I have missed on the Mxe?

Try using Direct trunk access (FAC) to access the trunk and dial directly.

Process:
Dial Direct trk access code
dial trunk number - 4 digit
Dial Call by Call digits if required (Bearer/Network/CLID)
Dial destination digits
dial #

The biggest question mark and a likely source of your issue is the Call by Call digits.

Analog Trunks are in Trunk Group 2 with members 200-212 & PRI is Trunk Group 1 with members 100-129.

So when I say *1901007xxxxxxx I dial through but but when I do the same which is *1901003xxxxxx It gives me CALL BARRED.

Both *1902007xxxxxxx & *1902003xxxxxx are just fine.

Im not sure if tthis is the procedure that you are referring to?If not please be kind enough to lay it out for me.I am trained in Mitel but this is my 5th installation & the first time to come across this challenge.Still gaining experience.

Assuming *19 is your Direct Trunk Select FAC then you are doing this correctly.

This test eliminates any ARS errors.

Based on the fact that you can successfully dial using a PRI tester, it seems obvious that the Telco does not like the setup message for the 3xxxxxx numbers from the Mitel.

I'm not familiar with E1 as I am from Canada. There may be some tweaks such as Unknown Call Type enabled/disabled that might be tried. Failing that or some suggestions from other users in Europe, I would coordinate with the Telco and ask them to tell you why the call is being rejected.

the only difference I'm aware of it that E1 is a 2MB and not a 1.5 MB connection. for the rest I think it's the same.

If you run a CCS trace, what do you get when making these calls.

Call Barred displayed on a phone is usually (not always cause there's tenanting and interconnect restrictions)an ISDN routing problem on the ISDN side, not the controller

what does your SP say?

Problem was with the service provider but it took a lot for them to admitt & solve the issue. Now everything is in place. Thanks to you all who gave views.
