I am trying to add a PRI to an old option 11. This switch currently has one in slot 1, just adding a second.

I keep getting an error when I try to download the MSDL. I have tried 3 different cards with 3 different daughter boards.

MSDL0207 x appl y z
An error was encountered when downloading an application to MSDL x.

I am at a loss, any help would be good.

How do you have the d-channel built? Print out please?

Your T1 card isn't sitting in the expansion cabinet is it? (slot 18) - if it is, it's not supported unless you have surviable expansion cabinet

it is in slot 8, adan 8 was used :)

You didn't say yes to the TMDI prompt or press enter when you got the the TMDI prompt when you built the CEQU did you? If you press the enter key at the TMDI prompt (default = yes), you just told the system you have a TMDI card instead of a NTAK09 with a NTBK51BA. print your CEQU and post it.

If the hardware is correct - NTAK09 and NTBK51BA then it should work unless one or both is faulty. Based on your CEQU, loop 1 is a TMDI and loop 8 is a NTAK09 - is this correct?

That is correct, yet I have tried 3 cards, and dch daughter boards. I would find it hard to believe that all 3 have the same issue.

I am glad it is not just me. :)

I have another TMDI, maybe I should try that. Guess I have never mixed a MSDL and a TMDI before.

You must be seeing something I don't, I don't see TMDI even in his CEQU anywhere.

Shouldn't it look like this

DLOP NUM DCH FRM TMDI LCMT YALM T1TE TRSH

I would try creating the d-channel in the range from 0 to 15, I think 18 might be out of range for a small system. Even though it let you program it.

@KCFLHRC - on the older release, CEQU didn't have a TMDI header - you knew you had a TMDI card if the T1TE column had a 0 in it instead of a -. This was how you knew if someone screwed up and press enter or said yes at the TMDI prompt when they didn't have one.

@mjwald - your config and hardware should have worked, if you're willing, maybe try an INI - barring that, go with the other TMDI...good luck.

@KCFLHRC i originally built it with dch 6

What I did was replace the MSDL with a TMDI card, rebuilt everything, and it popped right up.
So either the database can not download the MSDL or that software version does not like to mix TMDI and MSDL cards.

But all is good now.

Thanks All, Much appreciated!

So all is working great now, with one question, maybe this should be a new topic.

I would like to migrate the old mermail users on the 11 over to the call pilot on our cs1K
I can create a user on the call pilot, and forward a set from the 11 to it, and it leaves a message in the correct mail box, they can log into it and retrieve said message.
But I can not get the message waiting lights to work.

I think it has to do with the dialing plans. The old 11 is a 5 digit dial plan, and the CS1K is a 4 digit plan.
When I built the RLI's I just add/delete a digit to make it work. What do I do with voice mail?

Make sure your FLEN matches on both systems and that you have MWI in the RCAP.
