I am trying to install a PRI on a 032 with 6.1. I am able to install the key codes fine. The ksu sees the circuit, but as if it is a standard T1. also when I go into routing I do not get line pool PRI A Or B. I only get the standard line pool codes a through o. I have moved the T1 card into the 3 slot as well, and still same problem. I do have the 6 port fiber combo card installed in the 2nd slot. I am stumped at this issue. The PRI circuit is clean from the carrier. Anyone have any thoughts. I hope I had given enough info. Owe also the ksu does see the T1 card under maintenace.

when you disable your t1 card if the keycodes worked you should have the choice of pri plus reg t1 if you dont get that choice for the span you will not get it anywhere else...call nortel itas for new keycodes

Yes, verify in Hardware that you set it up as a PRI not a T1. That may be where your problem lies.

It is set up as a PRI. nortel has given me the rite codes for PRI.

when you input the keycodes ...all you get is the ability to add a PRI -
do as luv2ski and galfaro says ...

then you must change the hardware to PRI (you may have to disable under maintenance before doing so) - if it fails in this stage then the keycode did not work

then define your PRI settings including cbc settings etc
- if this step fails then you may try resetting the ksu

the right most (closer to cables) card slot is for trunks starts at 1

Thanks guys
the key codes were good called nortel. I powered down the ksu and repowered it and that seemed to do the trick. The PRI function was then an option.

ALL IS GOOD

You will not see a PRI in the line pools. You must assign a DEG route nubmer to it. EX. Route 3 uses DEG 855. I think that is what it is called. It is in the same place as route access codes. You must use routing to access the PRI.

Good Luck
