I just switch my PRI provider and can't seem to get the caller id to show on console. 1601-1635 are my DID's and the main line is 2020. I set up pattern 1 2020 and add digit 1601(console). The console shows' on incomming calls "DID Cover".

I set up other patterns, example: ex 1603 and add digits 1603
and the caller ID works on DID.

Please help. Thanks.

Sounds like the # of digits the provider is sending is different than what the system is expecting. Verify what they are sending and change your inbound routing as needed.

I spoke with the repair tech with at&t and they said digits are set to 4. I change the digits in the routing table under digits to expect. Is there any other steps I'm missing? I'm fairly new at PRI set up.

Can you print and post your PRI routing table?

In pattern 1, where you are expecting 4 digits, receiving 2020, and adding 1601, are you also deleting 4 digits?

If not, you could be chaining 1601 to 2020, and it is hitting the console phone as an unassigned DID number.

Thats it! I did not delete 4 digits. I'll try that.
Also what should be in pattern 0? Do I only put in expected digits to 4 or just leave it 0?

I Know thats not how to make DID's work the correct way. buts thats the only way I was able to make it work.

----------------------------------- ANNOTATION -----------------------------------

I'm not sure how it's working as you have all the digits to delete at 0. So, for pattern 2, it says look for 4-digits, those 4-digits being 1603, delete 0 digits, and then add 1603 to it, so it would then show the system 16031603 which wouldn't match x1603.

Your table 0, is correct for each DID as long as the last 4-digits match the extension of the telephone. It would see 1603, delete 0, then add no digits, so the System would see 1603 and route it to 1603.

Table 1 needs to delete 4-digits in order for it to work properly. Right now it would show the system 20201601 vs. just 1601 if you deleted 4-digits.

I know it looks funny. But, when the provider was switched, all the DID's where no longer working. Not knowing what the current providers dnus digits where. I just made the new provider change to 4 digits and now it seems to not work like it should.

For example: if i take out pattern 3 and put it to default. The DID calls(1604)will just go strait to the receptionist phone.

Yes the 4 digits match ext. #

If the provider is sending 4 digits, and those 4 digits match the extensions in the system, you should remove all the Dial Plan Routing entries.

The only one you really need is entry 0, expect 4 digits, match 2020, delete 4, and add 1601.

For the print provided here, it is helpful to copy and paster into notepad, with a fixed-width font, to see what is actually programmed.

Thank you TOUCHTONETOMMY as soon as I deleted 4, the receptionist phone showed caller ID. I know I'll have to fix my routing table. Thanks to all.
