Hi Guys,

We have customer using PRI line.

Sometimes the voice of the caller can't be heard. This is intermittent and usually happens for international or overseas call.

The PRI cable has been changed and mediatrix is changed also but it does not resolve the above issue.

Then we have some questions

- What type of IP Office and which release?
- What type of phones? Digital/IP? And modelnummer (16xx, 96xx, J100)?
- The pri, is that a plain old PRI or PRI over SIP (using a converter)?

Normally speech issues are not PRI related. Mostly network (IP).

@ Okkie26 thanks for the reply, please see below answers:

- What type of IP Office and which release?
Answer: IP Office 500 V2 R11.0

- What type of phones? Digital/IP? And modelnummer (16xx, 96xx, J100)?
Answer: IP Phones 9611

- The pri, is that a plain old PRI or PRI over SIP (using a converter)?
new one

Also, the voice quality is like a robot. Is there something working with the config?

You don't understand one of my questions.

I mean. How is this PRI delivered by the provider?

Is it a 4 wire connection (old fashion tdm), or via internet and a converter (SIP in the background, translated to PRI).

I think it's a SIP based pri, in that case consult the provider.

PRI is bullet proof technology. Can't imagine there is an issue there.

Sporadic one-way audio is not a common IP Office issue. As Okkie stated, I would contact your provider and give them an example of a call for them to trace (call time, number called, number called from, call duration) and they can look at the call from their end.

The other question to ask is this only happening on the PRI or does it happen internally between phones. As stated PRIs are pretty solid and one way audio is unusual on them but not between IP phones if the network has issues.

Thanks guys,

Can we just convert the line into pure SIP?
