I have the keycodes for a MICS 7.0 and I am going to do a STARTUP with the system. I wanted to verify that the keycodes will work again. Can I for example before doing the STARTUP enter the keycode into the current system and will it confirm or verify the keycode I have? If I enter a wrong keycode it should tell me it is invalid if I enter the correct keycode will it accept it therefore verifying the keycode for me prior to a STARTUP.

BTW if I just do a STARTUP will the existing PRI Keycode actually be erased or disables in the first place or will the system retain it? I want to default all the configurations back to factory. We are changing all the DID's new a new numbering plan and the system has been in service for about 10 years with various vendors working on it. I wanted a fresh start.

I understand that only if I remove the SW, reboot then reinstall it. Has anyone else had the SYSID change? I want to be 100% sure before I do this.

If you do a Sartup the System ID should not change but yes the PRI code will be erased and you will have to re-enter it. That being said I have seen them change the ID in the past but that's normally due to bad software or cabinet.
Good luck...
