I have a a MICS 4.0 system with a PRI T1. I am having some problems getting it working. I read the PRI FAQ and have done all the steps outlined there. The two issues I am having are, first, making outbound calls. When I dial 9 and the number (10 digit because I am in Denver) I get an error tone. The LCD display blanks on the phone. I did change the public DN length to 10 for the default. The other issue I am having is answering DID calls. If a call comes in and goes to the prime set (none of the DNIS digits match my target lines) I can answer the call fine. However, if I call one of the numbers I have programmed into the target lines the phone will ring but when I answer the call will get disconnected. I have the line apprearance on the phone for the target line set to ring only because I want it to ring on an intercom line.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know I have not supplied enough detail here, but hopefully it will jog someones memory as to the config parameter I am missing.

Thanks

On the outgoing issue, did you set BusName under System Programming? That shouldn't be set at all.

On the incoming issue, what exact software version do you have installed in the MICS? MRoberts

I cleared the BusName. I hadn't seen that as a problem.

The version is MICS 4.1 (30NdG04 NAT).

Try it now. The business name thing happened awhile ago. It used to be that the telco's would take in that info and send it on as caller id info but now they won't take the information. You can always test this by doing a F819, then accessing a line and dialing out. If it works then the BusName is your problem.

The very first release of 4.1 had some issues with dropping PRI calls but it was supposed to have been fixed. Was the software purchased fairly recently? MRoberts

I just purchased the system as a refurb. The vendor I purchased the system from has been very supportive, so if the software version is an issue, I can probably get an upgrade. I will test these changes and let you know.

Thanks.

Good! What you're looking for if you still have a dropping calls issue is 4.1.1 MRoberts

It worked! I was able to make calls and receive them. Thanks for the fast response.
