TDM station to PRI in same port network, intermittently getting no audio in both directions.

Has anyone heard of this and it being the fault of the PBX somehow?

Right now I'm blaming the carrier. Especially since the PRI is to an Adtran and it's SIP out to the carrier after that.

You can get a packet capture (Wireshark) of the SIP portion and capture the RTP then play it back. That will prove if it's on your end or the carriers. Otherwise I think you will need a T-Berd to listen to the PRI channel.

There are lots of things that might cause this but based on my experience it's most likely on the IP side of the connection.

In this case the carrier did a packet capture and there was no audio in the RTP. They claimed this proved it was the PBX's fault as it wasn't sending audio. They then requested that Avaya (us) get a PCAP from the PBX and get back to them. Heh. It's TDM bro, please educate me on how to get a Wireshark capture from a TN464GP board.

This morning they did a firmware upgrade and a reset of their router and it appears to be working now.
