PRI handoff from a Cisco 2431IAD to a VoDavi XTS

All,

Have a customer that from time to time has to restart their phone system or the cisco router that we have on site doing a SIP to TDM ISDN-PRI handoff to them. it appears that the messaging between the 2 pieces of equipment seems to get messed up during an overnight time period and customer will notice when they come to office in the morning. We have setup the router as we have for numerous customers but are not saying that it is a pbx issue.

looking for some guidance in checking the config for both systems.


The cisco router is a 2431-T1E1 IAD with IOS 12.4.12 on it

The phone system is Vodavi XTS with firmware Eng. Ver. 3.00-2FE3 VTS Basic


Any help would be appreciated

Does the Vodavi have any alarm reporting? If so what is being reported? Who is responsible for the Cisco 2431IAD, the provider?

These would be good questions to answer first, then proceed from there... The actual PRI only exists between the Vodavi and the IAD, since the IAD is converting the PRI to SIP or whatever to be sent to the mysterious cloud in the sky. The most important channel on the PRI is the D Channel. That is where ALL command communication between the Vodavi and the IAD takes place. The B Channels are all ISDN voice/data.

thanks for the reply. To answer your questions yes I work for the provider and am responsible for the Cisco router. What is being reported is that no inbound or outbound calls can be made or recieved. The settings on both seem to be fine. There are calls being passed between the router and phone system just fine. But something appears to happen during closed business hours between the 2 pieces of equipment that the customer has to reset one or the other or sometimes both. We are in the process of logging the traffic as seen on the IAD since the Vodavi is not able to log the ISDN messages. Here is what i see when a call is sent to the phone system from the IAD.
