PRI Fax problem

NEC Elite 192 we upgraded to PRI, the problem is we can ONLY receive complete fax transmissions when the receive rate on the fax server software is set to 2400. Any higher we get half, quarter or incomplete faxes. We setup POTS line, works fine at 14400. Voice is clean. Telco test is good. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure that in MB 4-90 your SLT ports are set to DATA. That fixed the problems on my end.

You might also want to check to make sure that you have a clock card on the CPU and the programming is correct. This is Memory Block 1-8-33. If you are having minor slips you might not notice on a voice call, but will affect modems and faxes. I have seen this at a couple of sites.

Change the pri card to comfirm your not dealing with a hardware problem

Thanks for the suggestion. We fixed this forgot to post…update. The problem was that we had the clock pointed to the wrong PRI card slot. Thanks gmannatl
