PRI Enabler keycode issues?

I have an MICS on the shelf, that has defaulted with a DTI, Services card, LS/DS card and R1/T1 software. I need to install it this weekend. I'm waiting for software from my partner. It was used as a P-P T1 when it was last used.

I need it to be a PRI. Ex, I'm calling your guys to get the PRI Enabler keycode. I have to get the new software installed, the switch up, then check for the Sys ID, correct?
What are the odds the Sys ID will change from what it is now?
Now that it defaulted from being on the shelf, is there any worry, after I install the new software, and get my keycode installed it could default again. I'm shipping it, so it could be off power for 3 days.

Thanks.

you should be ok for 3 days, I've had systems on the shelfs for up to 3 months and not loose programming but there is always a chance.

The Sys ID would change after your upgrade from R1T1. Wait until after the upgrade to input the PRI KC.

But after that, it would retain the new SW Sys ID.

I have also been getting into the habit of writing or taping the sheet of the PRI KC and Auth# on the inside of the MICS door with the Sys ID.

I had two sites that original paperwork was lost. Then an upgrade had occured.
I was called for whatever reason, after the system defaulted.
It was a shame they had to pay for another PRI Auth.

Prior to shipping any system I perform a backup, just in case. Plus I already know the RAD works & is programmed.

R1T1 does not have a system ID. After you install PRI capable software (R4.0 or higher) you will dial F**SYSID to see your system ID. Then order your enabler keycode based on this ID.

Might save time, depending who you're getting it from. One way or the other, if you ship the auth code paperwork with the cabinet, you'll be able to regen the key if you have problems on site.

Right. You can buy the auth code at any time. The keycode is generated afterward, dependent on the system ID.

Thanks for all the MVP support. Sorry ex, I didn't know you had moved on. I won't see the switch until I arrive on Saturday. Doubtful J&J or anyone else is gonna access KRS for me on the weekend, or does someone have a hot tip?

Definitely better to buy Authorization code and access KRS on Saturday afternoon, but if no one is available I need to enter the keycode before shipping from Prescott to San Fransico. Any ideas?

As always, Thanks!

No idea but
If you take a chance and genrate now and it retains then all is well.
If it does not work you will need sombody to re-genrate on the weekend anyway.
So btetting odds are better to generate now unless you can call around other sources before hand for emregency service.

The three day stuff is nothing to worry about if you do a startup leave everthing at default and just setup up the DTI card with PRI and ship.
It could be off for a month and it will still be there.
UNLESS it has bad a Cap in cabinet or sleeve. As long as you know those are good like maybe replace all CAPS since it is a used system. I see NO PROBLEM

If you're worried that the memory cap is suspect you could solder a new one on the motherboard of the MICS. If this isn't an option I'd recommend leaving the MICS powered up for at least 24 hours prior to shipping. I've seen these things hold programming for several months under normal circumstances.

No worries about J&J. We're still on a friendly basis. I just decided it was time for me to move back to the west coast.
