I am use to working on POTS and B! lines with some features and DID lines with DID numbers that are routed to call enter agents in a pool.

I however have not systems with PRI's and I am not real sure what PRI stands for and exactly what a PRI and PRI DID service is.

Can someone give me a quick explanation of this Class of Service.

PRI stands for Primary Rate Interface, which is a form of ISDN30. depending which country your in will determin how/ what they call it. it is a digital line which can provide upto 30 channels of voice via copper/fibre. On norstar systems to open more than the standard/ default channels you need to purchase keycodes. When configuring ISDN channels you specify if they are manual or auto answer. manual= a physical line appearance,Auto=is directed via target line & are sometimes reffered to as virtual lines.
to program target lines you need to know how many digits are being provided by your telco & put the seperate DDI/DID's recieved numbers then assign the target line to a dn. Hope this helps :)

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

In North America PRI is 23 B channels and 1 D channel. Which added up is a total of 24 channels.
