I took a DDTI card out of an old BCM400 to install in a BCM50 R 1.0 that has an expansion available. The Exp Port keeps showing "ENABLING..." and the PRI will not come on line and the last green light on the DTI card keeps flashing green all of there lights are green. I am wondering if the dip switches are causing the problem and need to be changed for this module to work. I have tried two different expansion modules and two different BCM400 DTI cards and get the same results.

Current Switch settings are:

1-ON
2-ON
3-ON
4-OFF
5-ON
6-OFF

-Did you go to Resources/Telephony Resources to program?, it will tell you how to set the DIP's on a 400/450 but on a 50 I think you set them all to ON.
-How many expansion modules installed?
-If 1 then which port did you plug patch cord into on the main cabinet? should be Port 2 (2nd from the right) OAM,LAN,EXP1,EXP2
-Does your patch cord work?
-Which port is patch cable on the Expansion cabinet? should be the bottom one beside the power
-Do you have an Expansion Key code (or 2) in the system?

Agree with curly cord
All dip switches should be set to default..on

Also check your expansion port licence and connect to correct port if you only have 1icence key.

It turned out to tbe the DIP switches. I placed them to ON and to came on line. Does anyone know if there will be any support or availability of keycodes on the after market once Avaya stops supporting the BCM lines? I would think that with so many systems installed that someone might provide some after market service and support.
