PRI Dial Plan Routing Table question

In the Dial Plan Routing Table entries in the Digits to Match field, can I use * as a wild card. I'm reading the programming doc's but I'm still a little fuzzy on what I just read.

Customer adding a new block of DID's (600-650) that are currently unassigned and I would like to put an entry 6** that deletes those digits then Adds Digits to send call to their automated attendant.

Current Routing and Dialing on PRI working fine.

You would match 6 then delete 3 digits then add the extension of the group? As long as you have no other 6xx dids this will work.
