TRCK aaa Set clock controller tracking to primary, secondary or free run.
Where aaa is:
• PCK = track primary clock
• SCLK = track secondary clock
• FRUN = free run mode
Track primary clock (PCK) or secondary clock (SCLK) as the
reference clock or go to free run (FRUN) mode.
Free run is not a good option unless both clocks are screwed up. I would get the Telco to check their circuits first.
I finally have the account manager with AT&T working on this so I'll hold off on changing the clock.
Last time I opened a ticket with AT&T the tester wanted to argure with me that my circuits were not PRI's but a T1 High Cap circuit, no d-channel. I could only go around with him for so long before hanging up on him on and going about this a different way.
With the d-cjannel dropping it just seems like I would have some errors in LD 60 with LCNT but I never do.
I have a spare clock card, I suppose I could swap that out?
Do you ever see the d-channel release or the the b-channels go out of service? I would think so on loop 24. Go ahead and switch to the secondary clocking source. I would check the cable from the i/o panel to the csu.
The circuits themselves never drop, it's just the d-channel's that release and then the channles go MBSY. 10 minutes later they re-establish and we are back up.
I checked this morning and my active clock is ssck 1... not ssck 0. When my switch goes between CPU 0 and 1 during midnight routines does it also switch clocks? Thanks
Also, would it be a issue it AT&T is looking for B and D- channel signaling and I don't have that turned on?
Those errors don't really point to a clocking trouble. I would think it is circuit related. That's why I said to check the cables. Wiggle them at the ends and try to make the circuit drop. Then I would replace my pri card just to eliminate that. What kind of card is the d-channel on?
The d-channel card is daughterboard that is on the Dual PRI card.
D-channel Card - NTBK51AA
Dual PRI Card - NT5D12AG-02
I do have a spare PRI Card (NT5D12AC-01) that my old T1 was on before we cutover to the two PRI's.
Cabling is all good. I just ran new cables from the NIU to the CSU. Pinout from the DB-15 should be good.. it was running fine for two months and if it wasn't I would think I would get a lot of errors.... no? Here's the pinout I've been using
RJ45 DB15
1(blue) to 11
2(orange0 to 3
4(red) to 9
5(green) to 1
As for the CSU's - one is a T-Serv 2 and the other is a Adtran CSU ACE.
I suppose there are a lot of points of failure here from the carrier all the way to the PRI card.
You may not get a lot of errors. The way to verify cabling is to roll the cables. If the trouble stays on 24 then you know it is the pri card, daughterboard, or telco circuit. Doubt it is the daughterboard, probably telco. Yes there are multiple trouble spots in the telco circuits.
