Hi,

I'm new for ACM. I'm trying to install isdn pri (E1- ETSI)on a G450 gateway to connect to the public network. I followed up the documents but I couldn't make it work. The physical layer is OK. Before going deeper can you advice most common parameters for PRI connection?

Regards,

How do you have your Ds1 board (TN464xx) set up? Also, how is your signaling group configured? I would check your ds1 config to make sure you have the right signaling protocol set up. Also, check your trunk group set up as well, for proper service type, maybe group or carrier type as well.

I think most PRI configs are: b8zs for coding, esf for frame, with bit rate at 1.544.

I think he means a MM710

We have an MM710 currently in use in one of our g350 gateways, I can post the ds1 (MM710) set up if needed.

I would love too :)

Your set up shows a bit rate of 1.544. Your question said you were setting up E1. That bit rate should be set to 2.048. This will require a dip switch setting on you circuit card

Thanks avayastrongman79

jffmsly

Does the 2.048 require a dipswitch setting or the 1.544 ?

On the TN circuit boards there is a dip switch on the board that needs to be set. The default setting is for T1 here in the states. If you are setting up E1 that switch needs to be flipped. On a MM710 board I am unsure about a dip switch. But I can find out. Maybe someone on this board can help. The system will tell you when you try to change the DS1 screen.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. I visited the site with a protocol analyser and solved the issue. Now I have the details of MM710 on G450 connected to local operator with ETSI standarts.

I have only one thing missing may be you can help about it. Local operator sends 10 digits (for example: 2223331234). I want to use 4 digit extensions (according to ex: 1234). So I have to drop 6 digits from the beginning. But I found out that on trunk-group parameters page 2. I can only drop 5 digits. Is there another way to drop 6 digits?

By the way there is no dipswitch on MM710 for E1 and T1.

Manipulate your digits on the inc-call-handling treatment screen. You can delete up to 12 there
