PRI config on Legend

I am getting a PRI configureed for my Legend 7.? system My provider is asking a ferw questions I do not know how to answer. ANY help is much appreciated.

1) CO protocol They have down ATT,NTP,N12
(it all greek to me!!)
2) Digits

I am having a block of 23 DID numbers being asigned, but not sure if I will actually use them. Currently I have 3 digit ext numbers. Will I need to change them to 4 digit if I want to use DID?

AT&T Custom protocol; send 3 digits to match your dial plan. The digits send should match the digits used in your extensions.
