We have a TMDI to NT5D12 Dual Pri circuit. The TMDI is in a CS1KE SMG site and the NT5D12 is in a CS1kM. The circuit between the 2 sites is on our private fiber network. Every night at approximately 2:28AM the DCHs on the circuit will go Enabled RLS. Some times the circuit will come back up but usually we have to go into the CS1kE main site and disable the DCH, loop and the TMDI card. Then do an enl TMDI xx xx xx FDL followed by doing an enll xxx in LD 60. This will always bring the circuit back up. Actually the only way. It is also not necessary to do anything on the CS1KM with the NT5D12 card, it will just come back up once the TMDI is back up. Avaya says our configuration is correct and it should not be doing this. They have been working on our ticket for going on 2 months now with no solution. Avaya has had us install a couple of patches but they made no difference. Has anyone ever encounter this or have any ideas, would really appreciate any feed back.

Measure the transmit and receive levels and make sure the signal is not out of spec. Are you using any CSU's on either end?

No CSUs the Card is connected directly to a TI port on our Fijtisu Sonet ring. We have had these connected in the same manner before we upgraded the sites to SMGs. We still have many of these in service in that configuration with no issues. This site goes down at the same time within a few seconds every night. If it were a level issue the crashes would most likely be random. The host cs1ke also has a TMDI connected to another CS1Km and it never crashes.

I'm sure you have already considered this, but if it is happening around the same time each night, is your PBX in midnight route when it fails??

Yes. We run the mids at 10PM. the CP does the mwi check at 1 :00 or 1:30 am and replications to the SMGs have been temporarily disabled.

Curious if turning off the database FTP to the SMG for each night made the TMDI stop dropping?
