we are are moving a merlin magic and the circuit is in the basement, the ecxclusive company is going to extend it in the suite over a 25 pair feeder which is not a continous run and it is over 2100' approxaminly 3-5 stopingpoints before it gets to the suite.

would there be any issues with this?
if so what

any advice.thanks

Yes, there could be some issues! Are all cable segments, 25 pair cables? If so you want the TX and RX pair assignments FAR AWAY from each other in all segments. Otherwise you WILL have MUCHO crosstalk! That is one item.

Another is the DS1 levels. I would recommend CSUs at both locations, or even in the middle, and you MUST have one at the MAGIX at minimum! If you have access to a T-BERD or equivalent, I would verify the operational quality of the path first, before committing to it.

Is it possible to run your own cable? Something like QUABBIN 9719 DATAMAX DS1 cable. You would still need CSU/repeaters.

Is this your only option to connect to the MPOE? Is this a multistory building? Please provide more detail.

You're really beyond the standard distance of a T1 without extra equipment. We like Patton's T1 extender for these situations - which will let you use one pair to extend your 2100 feet.

My thought would be to have the LEC extend the circuit up into the suite.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
