PRI Channels in group 80

I have 2 networked Merlins and I lost the PRI programming in one of them...
I am trying to re-create it from a printout, and I have the trunks in the b channel group, but everytime I input the channel numbers, the screen field stays blank when I do an "inspect", and they don't show on the printout. Don't I just go to PRI channels, enter group 80, then put in 23,22, etc? That is what I had before..but something sticks in the back of my mind that I am missing a step...any suggestions helpful!

So I read the book and remembered to put the slot number before the channel number. Now I am getting rampant "d channel inoperative" errors. I am pretty sure it is not the channel but something in the programming.

The reason I say that is because it worked fine, one way, (main switch to remote location) this morning and when I started troubleshooting the remote location I broke it :(

I inadvertently removed the PRI programming, which I am now scrambling to re-create. I think it looks right, have cleared all the errors and reset the board, but it is gathering errors quicker than I can delete them. Does nayone have any ideas?

Yes - I am thinking of going that route. All the extension numbers changed, but other than than I should be OK because there are only 12 people left at that location.

Funny you say group 80 cause if you simply choose Merlin Network as the switch type then the rest is configured for you automatically like this:

A Slot 7 Switch: MERLIN-Ntwk
A BchnlGrp #: Slot: TestTelNum: NtwkServ: Incoming Routing:
A 80 7 ElecTandNtwk Route Directly to UDP

A Channel ID: 23 22 21 20 19 18 17 16 15 14
A 13 12 11 10 9 8 7 6 5 4
A 3 2 1

I have the setup EXACTLY as above (actually I have tried it with both ascending and descending line numbers and it doesn't make any difference since their traffic is pretty low) and it won't work. The minute I change the remote end, any time you call one of those did numbers you get an "I'm sorry all circuits are busy" message. It is identical to the way it was when it was installed at a different location and working. If I go back to the "wrong" programming (ie the T1 board is NOT set to PRI) the did numbers complete; I call a number that hits the main loc and passes thru to the secondary loc and they answer the phones. My temporary workaround is I put forwarding on their phones (at the remote end) and they are going to their cells because of course they can't come back across the pipe for voice mail either.

You say Merlins. Are they magix with DCDs? Cause if they are then the CSU could be the culprit. Program both sites correctly then cycle CSUs off then on for each site.

I dont think it is the CSU's because they are greened up, the data channels work, and 1 side works fine.

I have been closely comparing both switches instead of focusing on the one that doesn't work (they are both actually Magix 4.7) and there are some programming discrepancies between the T1 boards that provide the point to point service. One of them is PRI (the one that doesn't work) and one is not - it is a straight T1, ESF, B8Zs, etc. Weird.

Does anyone know the impact of a board renumber on this type of programming?

I believe the impact would be the switch would validate the module type with the port map of the firmware and set it accordingly. Chips may or may not fall if nothing is out of place or order.

....JIM....

This is the programming before I swapped the systems. I am not 100% sure MM didn't make changes after this fact - so before I try and re-create both locations like this, does anyone see any obvious problems?
