I have a IP500v2 running 8.1.67 and I want to upgrade to 9.0, then 9.1. According to the Install 9.1 guide, all the cards in the system are compatible except for the Base IP500 Card Carrier 700417215 and Daughter PRI24T1 700185200. I am in the US and have a 23 channel T1PRI. I don't currently have any PRI licenses as I think this system has been grandfathered via one of it's many upgrade licenses over the years.
It has these cards installed:
Slot 1 Base Phone 2 700431778 Daughter ATMU4 700417405
Slot 2 Base IP500 Card Carrier 700417215 Daughter PRI24T1 700185200
Slot 3 Base VCM32 7004417389 Daughter NONE
Slot 4 Base Phone 8 700417231 Daughter NONE
If I buy a IP500 PRI daughter card, can I install it on the Phone 8 card, and will I also have to buy new PRI licenses, or will the system still operate with the existing 23 channels it as active? I think it can go on the Phone 8 based on what I've read, but I'm a little confused on the licensing as the system is working now with out them. Buying 2 of the 8-channel PRI licenses is going to add a good chunk to this upgrade project if I have to buy them.
Current Licenses:
Preferred Edition VM Pro
3rd Party Endpoints (1)
Phone Manager Pro (3)
IP500 Voice Networking Channels (12)
Software Upgrade 8(R9.1)
Avaya IP Endpoints (22)
Essential Edition (1) -- (says virtual essential edition)
Mobile, Power, and Officer Workers
Thanks
Tom
