This is my first experience with PRI card (NT-7B74GA-93) and need some help
1. Installed used system (dumb)
2. System lost Keycodes (should have known)
3. Got Authorization number
4. Called Norstar, got key codes
5. Entered Keycodes
6. Followed Norstar manuals (best I could)
provisioned lines, etc
No life from the PRI card
7. Possible problems?
Cable, Anyone know the pinout?
Dead card, What lights should be on or Off

Sorry Folks,
I should heave looked at the FAQ better before asking what the pinouts are, found that there.

Thanks
Lonnie

first no such thing as 4.4. 2nd is it a t1 or a pri t1..only need keycode for a pri t1.3rd what slot is it in.4th all leds will flash when first installed..5th t1 card must be in main ksu unless you are at 6.1...7th do you have a service/combo card for a clock controller.last but not least do you have any idea to what you are doing?????

ONLY 21 WEEKS TILL SKI SEASON STARTS

eldutchman,

You will need to go into maintenance in the programming, ant then to Module Status and disable the T1 Card...It will probably see the card as loop, if it has never been a T1 before. Once you have disabled the card and entered your PRI enabler key code from Nortel, you will need to go into Hardware in programming and tell the Card that it will become PRI (0-23channels), and then go back to Maintenance and Enable the T1 Card....

Should sink up, yet if by chance it does not at this point, If you have a FlashTalk VM on system unplug it first and let it sit unplugged, then unplug KSU and Replug KSU Power and go to IE SET 221 and clear alarms...

Once system comes back up replug Flashtalk VM.

You will need to build a Route to get an outside line...

Try this out,

WIP

luv2ski,
1.Sorry for indicating the wrong version, it is 4.1.
2.Thanks for pointing out the fact I don't have any idea what I'm doing, just a recently retired Air Force communications guy who has never worked on Norstar trying to earn a living.
3.You're tough but gave me good iformation, thank you

wip,
Thanks for the procedures, turns out it is a bad services card, pulled one from the company's warehouse, got the system up and running
