Have a customer going from T1 to PRI-A, I don't have the keycodes yet but can I tell the system to use PRI-A before I put the codes in? I tried it and it accepts PRI-A as a pool but I wonder if it is a waste of time and won't work after I put the codes in?

Once the key code is entered it will open up all the PRI programming in Hardware etc.

If it is letting you select PRI-A as a pool then this unit should already have the kecode in it.

It lets me type it in the line pool access but it does not have the codes yet. I can't change the card to PRI, that option is not there.

Ok silver I'm a little confused, which is not hard to do now days. When you say it let's you put in the Access Code where exactly are you putting that? Under line pools you should not get PRI-A anytime as far as I know. The access codes for PRI's are in Routs & Desti codes and without the keycode you will only see pools A to O even there.

OK, I'm a little confused also. If I go in with NRU and go to line pool access it allows me to add PRI-A. I guess my question is moot now. It looks like I can add PRI-A even without the key codes. Does that sound right to you? I guess that would be right, then when I add the codes it will work...I think. Just have to change it from 9 access to a route with PRI.

PRI has always been available in POOL CODES, ROUTES and T&S > LINE ACCESS. Although it does not work without the keycode.

allworx I'm looking at a 7.1 I have in the lab with no code and PRI-A is not available anywhere in programming. Pools, Hardware, or R&D it only opens it up when the code is added. He is using NRU so he may be able to see it there somewhere but if you go into set programming on the system it is not there.

Guess they changed in the 7.x release. I see it older versions.

yea to bad that was the last changes they would make but hey these systems are still out there everywhere. I'll have to play with the NRU one day and see what it looks like with that.

Ah the one place I forgot to look was under T&S, sorry for the mis-information. I normally just jump right to hardware and if PRI is not an option then I know there is no code in the system. as far as your original question if you give all the sets access to PRI-A I don't see why that should change once you enter the code.
