Previous Release backup for a R7 processor

Customer has a R3 Partner ACS, processor failed, then ordered a R7.
Can both (PCMCIA cards) R3 backup and small Partner VM be used on R7?
I hope I have not begin from scratch.

The voice mail card will be fine, but you cannot restore the R7 processor from the R3 translations - you will be programming from scratch.

Think of it as an opportunity to clean up the system's functions and buttons.

the good news is that you can use the R3 backup card then for the R7 as a backup card and don't need to buy a new one.
