Hello CR Users. I am trying to create a profit and loss type of document where I have the current month figures as well as the previous month's values. How can I get the previous month's values?

Have a look at the "LastFullMonth" function.

Alias the table with the data as being the previous month and in the record selection table if there is a table field called MONTH

then

{table.month} = month({?date}) and
{table_previous.month} = month({?date}) - 1

Where {?date} is an inputted date parameter and you would link to the rest of the tables in the same manner
