I had an old DC with folder redirection policies for my documents set. I removed that DC and domain and started fresh with a new DC and domain. I set up MD redirection and it works like a charm...but...the old redirection policy on the clients still tries to sync it's offline folders with the now non-existant server...i cant figure out how to stop this.

any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I battled this problem too.

Try disabling offline files and folders first. Then re-implement them after all the machines have gotten the new disabled setting.

The way policies work is if they are configured they stay configured until they are disabled even if the policy that set them goes away or is changed from Enabled to Not-Configured. Only a Disabled setting will actually reverse it.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Regards,

Mark
