prevet scp access outside of home directory

Hi there,
Is there a way to prevent a user to access anything outside of his/her directory.

Say if the user's home directory is /home/user1/; when the user SCPs to the server, the user1 is usually able to access and view contents in /home and other directories.

Is there a way to prevent this?

Yes. It's called a, "CHROOT Jail".
