Hello-

I am trying to prevent being interrupted by voice announcements for other calls while I am currently in a call. Basically, the system is allowing our lunchtime receptionist (not at a 20L, but at a 10D) to voice announce new calls to my intercom, even though I am using the headset. The regular receptionist will not do this because her DSS lets her know I am on the phone.

I know that you can disable Voice Announce, or perhaps not use the HFAI key, but this is not the right answer. I use these features constantly, but I just want them to not interrupt calls in progress.

Any ideas?

Actually, Privacy is on, via dedicated console button. Any other ideas?

Voice announce on Idle Only

Thanks for the tip. I programmed this in, but just to clarify: using this setting, if a call is transferred via voice, it should still ring through as a transfer, correct? That is what it is doing now. No more voice announce when the phone is in use, just a ring announce.
