I have a varchar string of 150 in a SQL 2000 database. Crystal is truncating it to 40 characters and I can't figure out why. Any ideas?

Crystal supports a varchar(150), so either Naith nailed it, or you may have a connectivity concern, such as the ODBC driver, and on the more obvious side, have you selected can grow under formatting?

I'll assume that it wasn't a verify database nor the field being limited:

Try setting up an OLE DB connection, that's what I use for SQL Server 2000, and it handles 150 varchars flawlessly.
